Access Community Together
New Mexico's Department of Health (DOH) is improving the system of services offered to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who receive community-based services through the Developmental Disabilities Waiver (DDW) program. This series of changes to improve services is named “ACT – New Mexico.” ACT stands for Access Community Together. The DOH is committed to these changes to assure services in the future for people currently served and the thousands who are waiting.
ACT – New Mexico is designed to:
Make sure that people get the right supports for their needs
Create a system that is fair, efficient, and effective
Serve more people including those on the waitlist
